A note to Appberry
Say hello.
Found something that doesn’t look right? Have a question about the game? Drop us a line.
[email protected]Is the game available yet?
Tanuki Tango is in development for Android and is not yet on Google Play. We’ll add the official download link to the homepage when it’s ready. There is no announced release date.
Can you let me know when it’s ready?
Join the waitlist for occasional development news and launch updates. Choose Android, iOS, or both so we know what you use. We’re building Android first; an iOS signup is an expression of interest, not a promised release.
You won’t receive an automatic confirmation email. To leave the list or change your preference, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with.
Trying an early preview?
If you’re reporting an issue, it helps to include your phone model, Android version, app version and what you were doing when it happened. A screenshot is useful too, as long as it doesn’t contain anything private.
For a Japanese character or pronunciation issue, include the character and where it appeared. The preview contains a small kana sample that is still being reviewed.
Where is my progress saved?
The current preview saves practice and unfinished boards on your phone. There is no online account, cross-device sync or cloud recovery. Reopen the game to continue a saved board.
Before you reinstall: uninstalling or clearing app storage can permanently erase your practice. If you’re trying to fix a problem, contact us first. We cannot recover data that was only stored on your phone.
How do I delete my local data?
On Android, open your device’s Settings, find Tanuki Tango under Apps, then open its storage settings and choose Clear storage or Clear data. Names vary by device. This removes saved boards, practice and settings. Uninstalling also removes the app’s local data.
Can I play offline?
The current standalone preview includes its starter kana and audio, and can be played offline. Development builds running through tools such as Expo Go may need a connection to the development server.
